LG Dryer Front View

Dryer fires are one of the leading causes of home fires… As the name suggests, “Dryer Fire” most dryer-related fires start within the dryer itself and then work their way out. Typical drying duration should range from 25 to 45 minutes. If your laundry is taking longer, there might be a blockage causing lint to accumulate in the dryer. Ensure that areas susceptible to significant lint buildup are regularly cleaned. Over time, lint infiltrates the dryer and accumulates in the blower, motor, rollers, and heating element. This accumulation poses a fire hazard and commonly triggers dryer fires. During your inspection, we can assess whether your dryer requires this additional service.

Booster Fan / DEDPV Cleaning

$127

Service Description

Booster Fan / DEDPV Diagram If either the homeowner lets us know prior to the inspection or during the inspection, we find out that a home has an inline booster fan or DEDPV installed, we will suggest that it also gets cleaned out. Booster fans and DEDPV were installed in dryer venting systems that exceeded the 35-foot maximum allowable ventilation length from building codes. During the process of our booster / DEDPV fan cleaning service, our skilled technicians meticulously eliminate accumulated lint and debris from both the fan and its mechanical components, effectively mitigating the risk of fire hazards. Following the removal of contaminants, a thorough inspection is conducted to verify the booster fan’s optimal functionality. This critical step ensures that the booster fan / DEDPV is not only in prime working condition but also actively contributes to your vent system’s peak efficiency. Our comprehensive approach aims to enhance both safety and performance, providing you with a reliable and efficient ventilation system.

Dryer Box Upgrade

$500.00

Service Description

For the homeowner who has a dryer venting system that is longer than the 35-foot allowable length *International Mechanical Code 504.8.4.1 or the homeowner that is wanting more room in the front of the dryer. Nowadays, you can position your dryer flush against the wall and optimize space in your laundry room without compressing the exhaust hose or restricting airflow by using the Dryerbox. The primary purpose is to prevent inefficient dryer venting, as the flex duct hose connecting the dryer to the wall exhaust pipe often had multiple bends and kinks, leading to lint buildup and a potential fire hazard. Dryer Boxes are typically installed during dryer ventilation cleaning but can also be added without replacing the entire system. The Dryerbox often leads to improved safety and dryer performance. Consult with our Certified Dryer Exhaust Technicians to determine whether this addition would be beneficial for your specific situation.
